I always thought I’d know exactly when it was time to take a step back from blogging, but life has a funny way of tapping you on the shoulder at the most unexpected moments. For me, that moment arrived the day baby Lyric wrapped his tiny hand around my finger and reminded me that motherhood is the most important story I’ll ever help write. My days have been beautifully overflowing ever since — soft cries, warm bottles, late-night lullabies, and quiet moments that make everything else pause.

Still, even with my hands beautifully full, there are some artists who move you so deeply that you find yourself wanting to show up just one more time. And that’s exactly what happened when I heard Kērd DaiKur’s recent wave of recognition and her beautiful addition to Melodic Playground Radio. Something in her voice pulled me back to the keyboard, reminding me why I started blogging in the first place.

Kērd DaiKur is an artist who doesn’t just make music — she creates presence. Listening to her feels like stepping into a room where honesty is welcomed and emotion is allowed to take its time. Q- For those just discovering your work, how would you describe your creative journey so far—across music, tech, and writing? What keeps you inspired to create across so many platforms?

A- My creative journey has been anything but linear. I began in the world of data science and AI, building technology platforms and leading companies. Along the way, I faced personal trials—including cancer—which deepened my passion for wellness, mental health, and resilience. Music became an organic extension of that journey—another medium to tell stories, process emotion, and connect. What keeps me inspired is the belief that creativity is a form of healing—and that storytelling, in any form, can change lives.

Q-. What can you tell us about your latest music release? What inspired the project, and how does it connect to your broader mission or message?

A- My latest release, “I Was Always More,” is deeply personal. It speaks to anyone who has ever outgrown the boxes society placed them in. As a woman, an entrepreneur, and a survivor, I know how limiting labels can be. This song is a reminder that we are never defined by a single role or chapter. It reflects my broader mission of empowerment—encouraging people to live fully, embrace their voice, and redefine what’s possible.


Q- You’ve been a strong advocate for mental health, empowerment, and leadership—how do these themes influence your music and storytelling today?

A- Those themes are the heartbeat of my work. Whether in music, books, or talks, I aim to normalize conversations about vulnerability, healing, and growth. In my lyrics, you’ll find reflections on resilience, self-worth, and the beauty of reinvention. For me, leadership today means leading with authenticity—and art is a powerful way to model that.

Q-  Can you tell us a bit about your hometown and how it shaped your outlook or artistic voice? What parts of your upbringing still influence the way you create or lead today?

A- I grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh—a city of contrasts, rich in culture and resilience. From an early age, I was exposed to both traditional music and global ideas. My uncle was a well-known musician, and I studied music for over a decade. That cultural grounding gave me an appreciation for rhythm, storytelling, and human connection. It also taught me adaptability—something that continues to inform both my creative work and leadership style today.


Q-  As a CEO, author, and artist, how do you balance the structure of business with the flow of creativity?

A- I’ve learned that structure and flow can complement each other beautifully. Business taught me discipline and strategy, while creativity taught me openness and intuition. I carve out protected space for both—allowing creative ideas to breathe, while ensuring projects move forward with intention. Ultimately, all my work—whether a song, a book, or a venture—is about creating meaningful impact. That through-line helps me integrate my different roles.

Q- Many of your books touch on longevity and emotional resilience. How do those ideas show up in your lyrics or music process?

A- My writing and music are deeply intertwined. Longevity, to me, is not just about living longer—it’s about living well, with purpose and emotional richness. Resilience is about embracing life’s ups and downs with grace. These themes show up in my songwriting through lyrics that speak to healing, courage, and the human spirit. Music allows me to embody those ideas in an emotive way that complements my more academic work.

7. What is one piece of advice you would give to women—especially indie creators—navigating multiple roles or launching new ventures?

Give yourself permission to be multifaceted. You don’t have to fit into one lane. Embrace your full story—your strengths, your struggles, your dreams. And remember: progress is rarely linear. Every experience adds depth to your voice. Build your tribe, trust your intuition, and keep showing up. Your story matters, and your art will resonate in ways you can’t always predict.

8. What’s next for you? Any exciting collaborations, upcoming releases, or events we should look out for?

There’s much on the horizon! I’m working on new music that further blends my global influences with contemporary sounds. I’m also developing wellness-focused tech initiatives through my nonprofit, Global Health Institute, and preparing to publish new research on AI in healthcare. A few exciting collaborations in both the music and tech spaces are underway—so stay tuned!
